Sources and how we check
Safar Time only republishes what operators publish themselves. Here is every source, with the date we last confirmed it.
How the daily check works
- Once a day, SafarTimeBot/1.0 reads each official page below: robots.txt first, one request at a time, at least 3 seconds apart per site. It never logs in, never uses booking systems and never works around a block.
- Pakistan Railways’ train list is re-read and rewritten when it changes. If a new fare table PDF appears, it is parsed and flagged for a person to compare with the PDF.
- For every other page, we compare the text with what it said when we took our data. Unchanged: its “last checked” date moves to today. Changed: the date stays put until a person has re-read the page and updated our data.
- Reader reports are checked against the operator’s own page before anything changes.
